BW Research Center is a scientific and aeronautical research facility outside Freiburg in Breisgau, Germany. The site includes airfields, research laboratories, a science museum, as well as the infrastructure necessary for permanent scientific operation. The facilities are designed for functional efficiency and controlled access. The activities at the center are limited to research, testing, observation and scientific mediation. Traffic between the areas takes place via land and air routes as needed. The facility is designed as a structured environment for technical work and systematic investigation.
