The Supercomputer is a symbol of both the fictional world of Panem alongside current life events that we experience on a day-to-day basis. The arena's base is the supercomputer much like the governing forces of the world. Most important decisions wire back to the computer, but the decisions and actions of the people as a whole dictate where life may lead.
