Description (written by the developer; not a statement by this register)
The year is 1868, Japan’s samurai era stands on the brink of collapse. After more than 250 years of isolation, Western Powers have forced open the nation's ports, threatening the authority of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Modern firearms, ironclad ships, and foreign ideals now threaten to render centuries of feudal tradition obsolete and civil war is inevitable. As the nation fractures, you must choose where your loyalty lies: - Fight for the Imperial Court to overthrow the Shogunate, uniting the nation under the Emperor's banner and ushering a new future for Japan. - Stand with the Shogunate to defend the Tokugawa regime, honor the bushido code, and preserve centuries of heritage against foreign influence. Growth history is still building. We hold one measurement for this entry. A trend needs at least two, taken days apart — so this will fill in on its own rather than being estimated. We do not publish numbers we have not measured.
