The Pier [PRE-ALPHA]

Main Story It all began on the night Jake and his wife went to the pier to celebrate their wedding anniversary. The sea was calm at first, but suddenly, giant waves rose and began to tear the pier apart, pulling Jake's wife down into the depths. Jake caught her hand at the last moment. She looked at him with fear, begging for help, but as the pier shook, Jake’s survival instinct outweighed his love. Succumbing to fear, Jake let go of her hand to save himself and fled towards the shore in panic. When he reached the land and turned back, she was gone. The waves had suddenly calmed down, and the storm had ceased abruptly. This tragedy, which changed everything forever, happened within a span of just 20 to 30 seconds. Jake now continues his journey carrying the heavy burden of guilt left by this brief moment.
