Description (written by the developer; not a statement by this register)
Tawang Sector in Arunachal Pradesh is one of India’s most sensitive high-altitude border regions, sitting close to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China. The area is operated mainly by the Indian Army’s mountain troops and special forces, including units like 21 PARA SF and 4-VIKAS Special Group. They conduct patrols, surveillance, and defensive operations against Chinese PLA patrols that often challenge the border. The terrain is extremely cold, snowy, and rugged, with blizzards, steep valleys, and temperatures dropping below –15°C. Because of its location near Bum La Pass, Tawang remains a critical flashpoint where India maintains strong military presence. | JAI HIND |
