The BackRooms

You were filming a movie with your friend when the impossible happened. In the middle of a step, they suddenly tripped and vanished straight into the ground, as if the earth had swallowed them whole. Shaking with fear, you called the police. Search teams arrived quickly and searched for days, then weeks, but not a single clue was found. Your friend was gone. You were a science major, and the mystery consumed your life. For ten years, you barely slept, spending every waking moment researching what could have happened. At last, you uncovered the truth. Your friend had fallen into a place called the Backrooms—an endless maze of yellow rooms created decades ago as a secret dumping ground. You tried to warn the world, but everyone laughed at you. Alone and desperate, you built a teleporter. When you tested it with a camera and flashlight, they vanished instantly. The monitor showed yellow walls for a moment before going black. Now, gripping the return button, you step inside.
