Markoh is a small mountain village in northwestern Iran, located in the rugged hills of West Azerbaijan near the Turkish border. With a population of just a few hundred, Markoh is known for its terraced farmland, cold winters, and close knit community of Kurdish and Azeri families who have lived here for generations.
