The 42nd Annual Hunger Games --------- The 42nd Annual Hunger Games unfolded within a vast, desolate forest locked in perpetual winter. Snow and ice smothered the terrain, forcing tributes to battle not only one another, but the cold itself, as hypothermia and exposure became constant threats. At the heart of the arena lay a massive open lake, its surface treacherous and unpredictable, capable of freezing solid, or giving way without warning.
