We were gonna nuke it but whatever kept it off our radar also took down the air unit. We don't really know what's on the island, but if the logs aren't exaggerating then I see why a nuke was HQs first answer. Apparently the air team got right over the island before going dark so the nuke should have landed with the choppers.
