Beijing Capital International Airport (IATA: PEK, ICAO: ZBAA) is an important air gateway and foreign exchange window in China. On March 1, 1958, the Capital Airport was opened to navigation. On January 1, 1980, Terminal T1 and the second runway were opened, and the airport was renamed "Beijing Capital International Airport". On November 1, 1999, the T2 terminal was officially put into operation. On February 29, 2008, the T3 terminal and the third runway were opened.
