If the clock hits zero and you are still breathing, you have outlasted the hunger. The Cycle: Intermission: 50 seconds of peace in the lobby before the next awakening. The Callout: GUY is identified and awakened for his hunt. The Rampage: 2 minutes of pure hell and terror in the Neighborhood.
