👥 Welcome to Government House, where democracy works around the clock behind the scenes. Government House is the residence of the sitting Governor-General and his/her family. 🎙️ The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of New Zealand has a constitutional responsibility to represent the Head of State in actions concerning the county in its entirety such as Royal Assent and the Appointment of Government Officials. The Governor-General's chief advisor is his/her personal secretary. ⚠️ When starting conversation with the Governor-General, you must greet him/her with the term "Your Excellency". Any other staff members will introduce themselves and you are asked to use their respective titles as required. 📍 Government House is located in Wellington, North Island, New Zealand.
