Founded to train the future officers of the French Army, the Hermine Military Academy is an elite institution located in Brittany, inspired by the historical heritage of ancient Brittany and French military traditions. Its name pays homage to the hermine, a symbol of courage, purity and noblesse associated to ancient Breton dukes. The Academy's mission is to train leaders capable of commanding with honor, discipline and a sense of duty. Officer students receive a demanding training combining military strategy, intensive physical training, military history, leadership and modern defense technologies. The teaching is inspired by the great French military schools such as the Saint-Cyr Military Special School, while maintaining a unique identity rooted in Breton culture. Traditions play a central role in the life of the Academy.
