Description
39th Guards Motor Rifle division is a part of 8th Guards Army stationed in Eastern Germany as a part of GSFG (Group of Soviet Forces in Germany). This is a Soviet spearhead division. Soldiers motivated enough to throw themselves in attack waves each hour without a minute of break. Despite this division being poorly equipped with IFVs, it had a key role in siege of FRG: 39th GMRD had to clear the way for 79th GTD to strike Frankfurt within the first week of assault, with a slight support from 4th Mot.-Schutzen division.
