Description
Spetsnaz is a Russian language umbrella term for special forces which is used in numerous Russian-speaking states. Their main usage currently is as the heavy-lifting assault forces of the Soviet KGB. ------------- Short History of Spetsnaz: During WW2, it became clear early on for Soviet leadership that it had an urgent need for immediate intelligence on German land forces in northern Norway and Finland. Eventually, an Admiral of the Northern Fleet authorized the formation of a ground reconnaissance detachment. This unit, the 4th Special Volunteer Detachment, was to be recruited from the fleet's athletes, and would eventually become the Spetsnaz. ------------- Requirements: Senior KGB Agent+ in KGB. Sergeant Major+ in Red Army. Show expertise in all ranges of combat and ability to follow orders to the letter. Pass a Spetsnaz tryout.
