Description
The Oldenborgske Infanterieregiment, was one of the most well known and disciplined regiments of the Danish army. It fought in several campaigns, especially showing their duty and discpline in the 1813 campaign. It fought in nearly every battle, in all of them serving as a frontline unit. The regiment was raised back in 1785, to help defend the border against the German states. It was a German speaking regiment, but the officers spoke Danish too.
