Hololive Production (ホロライブプロダクション Hororaibu Purodakushon) or simply known as Hololive (ホロライブ), is an agency of Virtual YouTubers created by Cover Corp. Cover Corp was founded on June 13, 2016. The first instance of Hololive was on September 7, 2017, with the live-streaming app with AR technology On December 6, 2018, Cover Corp unveiled Hololive Gamers, a new group of VTubers specializing in lets plays. On January 8, 2019, Hololive announced that it had signed a contract with the Chinese video platform Bilibili under which it would open 15 channels on the platform and simultaneously stream there and on YouTube. It would also begin collaborating with Chinese-speaking volunteers to translate Hololive videos and start releasing original content for the Chinese market.
