The Air Support Unit is a specialized division within the Los Angeles Police Department that has the ability to monitor the skies above Los Angeles, to assist in pursuit visuals, or assist the LAFD Search and Rescue team for medical transports, and even assist the LAPD SWAT team in dropping them in a location to combat a dangerous suspect.
