Kongens Livjægerkorps - Kings Life Hunter Corps History The “Life Hunters,” as they are called in everyday speech, were raised in late March of 1801 in preparation for the English Wars and received Royal confirmation on April 15 that same year. The Livjægerkorps excelled in action on multiple occasions. In one instance they valiantly took up arms against a British force at their exit through Kastelsporten to Classens Have during the Second Battle of København. In reward of their actions, Konge Frederik VI raised the regiment to guard rank and its officers rank in line. Regiment Type: - Light Infantry
