Description
The El Mudžahid unit was a military detachment that fought on the side of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Bosnian War. It was formally established on 13 August 1993 officially as a detachment in the 3rd Corps, though early formations participated in battles alongside Bosnian Muslims in late 1992. They consisted mainly of foreign Muslim volunteers from various African, Asian and European countries, though recruited local Bosnians as well wherever they were stationed.
