Description
When God almighty, in His ‘oly and divine providence, offers us a commición, he looks to have that commición observed strictly in every article. And shall we neglect Him and give in to our carn'l intentions, His wrath fhall surely break againft us. As He did against Saul, when the Lord gave him a commición to destroy Amanich, and becaufe Saul failed Him in one of the leaft he was denied the kingdom which fhould have been his reward. And the only way to avoid this fhipwreck and provide for our pofterity is to follow the counfel of Micah: to do jufly, to love mercy, to walk humbly with our God. So it is in New England. And as God loved the Ifraelites, fo He loves today the folk of Mafsachufetts.
