She was the Plattsburg during WWI. She was renamed to the SS New York in 1920. She was 560 feet. She could serve 1740 passengers and 362 crew. WSL's Teutonic and the City of New York raced to Sandy Hook. She could go at a speed of 20 knots (23 MPH).
