Description
𝐊𝐎𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐇 𝐒𝐀𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐒𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐄𝐄 📌Saxony was ruled by Friedrich August I from 1806 to 1827. As King of Saxony he worked diligently to keep his kingdom at peace during the endless wars of Europe. However, Napoleon was not an easy neighbor to endure, with both his ambitions and his army growing. Saxony teamed up with Prussia in 1806 but was defeated at Jena and Auerstadt. It then became one of the founding nations of the Confederation of the Rhine, so it was granted Kingdom status and vast quantities of land. They remained loyal until the Battle of Leipzig in 1813, which saw the German nations defect to the allies. Saxony remained a prominent German state up until the German revolutions of 1918.
