Description
REPUBLIC'S MILITIA The Republic's militia was an irregular corps existing between 1932 and 1936 in Chile, which had a silent alliance with the Government of Chile, but somewhat of a rivalry with the Army, and being enemies with anarchists and communists. The militia was composed of people from different social classes, and was armed as a light infantry army equipped with cars, trucks and even planes. The goal of the Militia was to maintain the constitution and the political stability of Chile, as of the republic having crawled away from the unstable times of the Socialist Republic. Era: 1932-1936
