~ The International Alpine Club~ President; John CT Ardendoff The International Alpine Club or IAC, Was founded in 1885 With the Goal of Forming The British, American, French, And German Alpine clubs Into one Organization. It's Members Held Many achievements for First Summits Of Most of the Prominent Alpine Mountains. Many of its founding members were British Politicians and Military officers who had served in countries such as India and Africa. “Climb if you will, but remember that courage and strength are nought without prudence, and that a momentary negligence may destroy the happiness of a lifetime.
