Description
The Urbanae Cohortes serve as the guardians of order within the city of Rome. Tasked with enforcing the law, suppressing unrest, and protecting civic stability, they stand as the Republic’s shield against chaos from within its own walls. Positioned between the Praetorian Guard and the legions, the Urban Cohorts act as Rome’s disciplined peacekeepers—patrolling streets, breaking riots, guarding public forums, and executing the will of the Consuls within the capital. Members of the Urbanae Cohortes are expected to uphold discipline, loyalty, and authority at all times. Order is not requested—it is enforced. Roma intra muros stat.
