Description
The Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG), widely known by its former name SEAL Team Six or simply DEVGRU, is the U.S. Navy’s most elite special operations unit. Operating under the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), it is a "Tier One" unit, a designation shared only with the Army’s Delta Force. While its public mission is the "development and testing of tactics and equipment," it is primarily a counter-terrorism strike force tasked with the nation's most sensitive and high-stakes missions, having 6 Color-coded Squadrons.
