Jamestown Metropolitan Emergency Services (JMES) is a privately operated emergency medical services provider in the Jamestown Township and the surrounding metropolitan area. JMES provides a full scope of services including advanced life support (ALS), basic life support (BLS), ambulance transportation, and onsite medical standby for public events, large events, and potentially hazardous environments or incidents. JMES has a full complement of EMT, paramedic, dispatch, and medical supervisor roles. JMES relies on fully outfitted vehicles and equipment to perform their functions safely and effectively in a wide array of emergency conditions. Because JMES operates under a more streamlined and privately operated system, it is able to more quickly respond to changing regional needs, improve positioning, and maintain high operations without the lag time associated with public service systems.
