Description
Glee (WMHS) is a musical comedy-drama centered on an underdog high school glee club called New Directions at the fictional William McKinley High School in Ohio. The series follows a group of outcast students as they find their voices, identities, and a sense of family through music. Along the way, they navigate typical teenage challenges such as friendships, romance, bullying, and dreams of stardom. The club is guided by their passionate Spanish teacher, Will Schuester, who believes in their potential. However, they constantly clash with the tyrannical cheerleading coach, Sue Sylvester, who does everything she can to sabotage them. Blending energetic pop music covers with heartfelt storytelling, Glee also tackles serious themes, including LGBTQ+ acceptance, mental health, and overcoming adversity.
