Description
{Established in 1742} The Weston Family originated in France and later moved to La Louisiane in 1800 before it becoming the state Louisiana in 1812, the family settled on the family estate of La Plantation Weston. When Louisiana joined the Confederacy the Weston's left Louisiana for Quebec till after of the Civil War. Whilst in Quebec the family Patriarch founded the family business Champlain Navigation Line in 1865. In 1865 some of the Weston's return back to America once again to their estate of La Plantation Weston of Louisiana. In the 1930s when the Champlain Navigation Line was at it's height is when the Weston's fully return to America. The Weston's still run Champlain Navigation Line and travel the world cruising in luxury. The line lasted from 1865 to 1960 when it unfortunately went bankrupt. {Head of Household} Douglas H.
