At the head of this war host stands King Edward I, the Soul King and Captain-Commander, the supreme authority whose will binds the thirteen divisions into a single, unstoppable command. Under his rule, the Gotei does not fracture, hesitate, or falter. The captains lead with power, and those who follow them do so with absolute resolve. Each of the Thirteen Divisions represents a pillar of Soul Society’s military might. Their captains are not merely leaders—they are monsters of battle, warriors whose strength alone was enough to shape the early age of Soul Society. The Gotei was built upon the belief that only the strongest are worthy to protect existence itself.
