Arcadia Regional Public Safety Academy City of Arcadia • State of Tacoma Established: 1898 The Arcadia Regional Public Safety Academy (ARPSA) is the official training institution for emergency and public safety personnel serving the City of Arcadia and surrounding jurisdictions within the State of Tacoma. Established to uphold the highest standards of readiness and professionalism, the academy provides comprehensive education and certification programs for law enforcement, firefighting, and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel. ARPSA trains members of the Arcadia Police Department (APD), Arcadia Fire Department (AFD), Private EMS providers, and other regional agencies in critical skills including field operations, emergency response, crisis management, and public service ethics. The academy’s mission is to prepare future first responders to perform with excellence, discipline, and integrity under the most demanding conditions.
