Description
The 1st Delaware Regiment, led by Colonel John Haslet, was one of the most disciplined and dependable units in the Continental Army. Known for strict training and professionalism, the regiment fought in major battles including Long Island, Trenton, Princeton, Brandywine, Germantown, and Camden, often holding key positions under heavy fire. Despite facing severe losses, especially at Camden, the 1st Delaware earned a lasting reputation for courage and reliability throughout the war.
