Description
In a quiet, unremarkable paradise, the apples live forever. They traded their souls for paradise, it's the 1850s, no regret to the Apple God, whose promises were clean and sweet and absolutely binding. In return, the orchard is flawless: no rot, no storms, no questions. The apples live as a family, in unison, and making do of life. Everything is perfect. To keep the Apple God content, the apples must feed Him. Humans arrive occasionally, wanderers, volunteers, people who thought the orchard was a metaphor. The apples don’t hate them nor they don’t love them either. It’s simply part of cultivation. Seeds need soil. Gods need offerings. Paradise needs maintenance.
