Description

The Nanking Research Institute is main research wing of the New Chinese United Front. Formed in the early 20th century, the Institute primarily focuses on researching time and dimension based anomalies which include anomalies linked to the Corbenic afterlife. The Institute maintains cooperation with the Two Moons Initiative of Corbenic to combat the everlooming threat of the prevention of the next universal cycle by the Radical Acceptance as an XK Class world ending scenario. The Institute's history spans over billions of years with each universal cycle leaving a small remnant of itself in the newly created universe. Communication between universal cycles is possible through Corbenic as its time is not relative to ours. At the end of each universal cycle, the Institute always sends a package to remind its successor self of what it needs to do, this includes files on yet undiscovered anomalies which are scattered throughout the underground facility and the Lingshang mountains.
