Description

Phantom Siita (ファントムシータ / 怪忌蝶) is a Japanese idol girl group produced by Ado. They debuted on June 26, 2024, with their first digital single "Otomodachi". The group's name is a combination of the word "Phantom", which are illusions and ghosts, and "Siita", which is a combination of the scientific name of the butterfly, Parantica sita, and the scientific name of the moth, Epicopeia hainesii, which is known for mimicking swallowtail butterflies. The official fan name is "haine", which is a French word (pronounced like eine), meaning "hatred". It is also taken from the scientific name of the moth after which Phantom Siita was named. "If modern idols are "butterflies", then Phantom Siita is a "moth", a heretical existence in the idol industry. It's frightening and beautiful, making you want to reach out even though you know it's scary."
