𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐍𝐄 The Vicomte de Turenne's Regiment of Foot originates from a unit raised in 1604 for Henry IV. In 1624 many Huguenot gentlemen had made peace with the king as well as the powerful house of Bouillon. On January 17th, 1625 Turenne was given permission to raise an infantry regiment. It recruited in Bouillon and consisted of many Huguenot gentlemen.
