Description
The CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) is an independent civilian agency of the United States government responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating vital foreign intelligence to safeguard national security. It directly serves the President and the National Security Council (NSC) by providing strategic insights on global threats. Unlike the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the CIA serves no domestic law enforcement, police, or subpoena powers.
