Bungus Island is an experimental training facility made with the goal of training Marines in hot and humid environments, to better them for unfavorable conditions of tropical countries. Later Bungus Island would be sold to a private owner in the 1980, because of a tight budget and the island's lack of technology, leading to the Second Recruit Training Battalion's closure, with all Drill Instructors transferred to Parris Island. ━━━ 📢 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨: "We train kids..." ━━━
