𝐗𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐪𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝘈𝘵𝘥𝘩𝘦𝘶, 𝘕𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘪 𝘥𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘨𝘫𝘪 The Royal Albanian Gendarmerie was first founded in 1912 after the declaration of independence, during the first World War, the Gendarmerie became not just an Albanian force but also a International force housing British and Dutch officers. In 1928 after the monarchy was declared, the Gendarmerie was once again reformed and became one of the main law forces in Albania.
