'𝐃' 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲, 𝟕𝐭𝐡 (𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞) 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐋𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 ─────────────────────────────────────── 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 The company was raised in September 1914 as part of Kitchener's Army. The recruits paraded through the Town Centre to the railway station where they shipped off to become soldiers. The 'Preston Pals' notably took part in the battles of 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝘀 (𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟱), 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲 (𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟲) and 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝘅𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘅𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 (𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟳).
