CHF ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Commando Helicopter Force is a unit of the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm and an element of the Joint Helicopter Command of the British Armed Forces. Its primary role is to provide Rotary-Wing support to 3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines and other UK force elements in the amphibious environment. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ With 3 squadrons on active duty, the commando helicopter force is able to deploy to any deployment zone around the world, should British forces need it. One squadron is on standby at all times. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Squadrons Reserve Squadron: Awaiting training/Assignment to crew Squadron A (845): Medium-lift logistics/Specialist front line operations Squadron B (846): Air to ground support/Friendly Helicopter Guard Squadron C (847): Troop transport/Reconnaissance Training And Development Crew (848): Training and Development of CHF squadrons and Reservists
