Description
Situated in a valley surrounded by treacherous mountainsides, Ridgeway was duly named after its convenient location for travelers on the Oregon Trail who had grown fatigued or ill. Because of the region's fertile lands, abundant resources, and economic location, Ridgeway became known as the gateway to the West. Not to be confused with a real life county / state.
