Description
Berserkers were fearsome warriors who howled like beasts and bit their shields before charging into battle. They fought in a wild, trance-like rage—some say fueled by strange herbs or rituals—and believed no weapon or flame could harm them. Many thought they could actually turn into the animals whose skins they wore, while others saw them as raw battle madness. Whatever the cause, facing a berserker was terrifying. They fought with unstoppable rage and killing one was considered an act of true bravery.
