Description
The Macarty dynasty was one of the most prominent, wealthy, and influential Creole families in colonial and antebellum New Orleans. Originating from an Irish noble lineage (the MacCarthy clan) that fled to France in the late 17th century to escape English persecution, the family adapted their name to "de Macarty" before immigrating to French Louisiana around the 1730s. Over the generations, they amassed immense power through military service, expansive sugar plantations, real estate, and high-society political marriages. [DISCLAIMER] This group is not to replicate Delphine’s crimes, The game is more so meant to reflect the societal Delphine had. How a well known socialite lived a double life and kept a dark secret hidden for years, how an angry mob stormed to the townhouse only to see she escaped.. leaving everything valuable behind. It shows how not just her but her family members lived Under Louisiana being controlled by three countries, how there lives changed under each ownership.
