(NOTE: THIS IS FICTIONAL ALT-HISTORY) The People's Republic of the Americas (PRA), also known as the Western Empire, is a vast superstate consisting of hundreds of protectorate nations spanning much of the Western Hemisphere. The PRA was established in 1981 by the provisional government which had been in power following the Revolution of 1978. Initially, the PRA had only covered what was previously known as the United American Republic, but the upheavals occurring throughout the Americas prompted the PRA to implement expansionary efforts in order to safeguard the interests of the revolution and unite the continents and peoples of all nations.
