♔▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬♚▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬♔ The 43rd Regiment of Foot was a regular line unit formed in 1741. The regiment got involved in many engagements during the 7 Years War & American War of Independence, soon gaining the current title by 1783.
