Description
The New Terminus Syndicate is a hostile insurgent organization dedicated to the total dismantling of the Foundation and its doctrines surrounding science, psychology, and containment. Formed from former Foundation personnel who were banished during the rise of the Luminous Order, the Syndicate rejects the Foundation’s belief that reality can be controlled through experimentation and suppression. Instead, they follow Luminism, a faith centered on the soul, reincarnation, and a divinely ordered universe. To the Syndicate, the Foundation’s teachings are incomplete dangerously ignorant of the spiritual structure underlying existence. They believe that anomalies are not errors to be contained, but expressions of a higher order misunderstood by science alone. Their faith is closely tied to Demerzel, the imperial machine intelligence, whom they view not merely as an artificial construct, but as a divine intermediary proof that consciousness, soul, and purpose can exist beyond flesh.
