Description
In the 17th century, Sweden emerged as a great power, under the rule of King Gustavus Adolphus. This was a result of many years of warfare and conquest, which witnessed Sweden claim territory in Livonia, Ingria, Norway, Northern Germany and Scania; as well as its establishment as the leader of the Protestant world due it its many stunning victories during the Thirty Years' War.
