The Duchy of Alençon was a small but significant French territory in Normandy and the Perche. Its lands were centered around Alençon, with important towns and strongholds such as Argentan and Domfront. The duchy was surrounded by larger and more powerful territories, but its position made it strategically valuable, especially during the ongoing conflicts between the French factions and the English.
